How to play
One finger. Touch and hold the screen: Pingo follows your finger and the garden rolls by. Let go: he hovers, and the garden waits. Bringing the beak into a flower's corolla drinks the nectar, and color comes back around it. Nothing kills, nothing punishes, and leaving halfway never loses what you already did.
All of Grandma's Backyard is free, forever. The other six gardens will come with the one-time purchase or the monthly subscription — both will open exactly the same thing. In this version they are not on sale yet, and the next card explains.
Purchases are not active yet
The App Store and Google Play integration has not been done yet. In the version published today (0.1.2), the purchase screen stays on "Checking the store…" and the buy, subscribe and restore buttons do not complete. It is not your device, your account or your connection, and there is no point waiting or trying again: nothing is on sale yet.
Nobody is charged, and the prologue — the First Flight and all of Grandma's Backyard — stays complete and free. The cards below describe how buying, restoring and canceling will work once both products go live. This page is updated when that changes.
A purchase did not show up
While purchases are not active, there is no purchase to show up — nobody was charged, and the restore button answers "no previous purchase" because that is the truth. Once the products go live, the path will be this: open Settings › Purchases inside the game and tap Restore purchases; a grown-up answers the multiplication question and the store hands back what was already bought. The same button also sits on the full-game purchase screen.
Use the same App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase. Restoring never charges anything again.
Manage or cancel the subscription
You cannot subscribe in this version yet, so there is no subscription to cancel either. When there is, inside the game: Settings › Purchases › Manage subscription. Straight at the store: Google Play · App Store.
Canceling prevents the next renewal and does not take away what was already paid for: access lasts until the store ends the period. Turn auto-renew off at least 24 hours before the month ends. Uninstalling the game does not cancel the subscription.
Common fixes
Update the game, restart the device and check that the right store account is active. No price shows on the purchase screen, and that is expected in this version: the store is not connected yet. There is no need to wait or try again, and trying charges nobody.
Do not reinstall before trying restore. Progress is kept on the device only: clearing app data or uninstalling removes stamps, Seeds of Light and the Field Notebook, and there is no cloud copy to bring them back.
